Can the processing of the au pair visa be speeded up?
Short answer
No. Neither the au pair nor the host family nor we as the agency have any influence on the processing time of the visa. Speeding up the procedure is not possible in principle.

What lies behind it
The German Auslandsvertretungen (German embassies and consulates abroad) point out that processing a visa application can take up to 90 days. In our experience, such a long processing time is not the rule for au pair visas, but it can happen.
During the regular processing time, the Auslandsvertretungen generally ask that status enquiries be avoided. This applies equally to au pairs, host families and agencies.
