What does an au pair cost per month?
These ongoing costs come your way as a host family. The cost of an au pair for a child with a disability is no different from that for any other host family.

Only once you have decided on an au pair and instruct us to arrange the placement does the Vermittlungsgebühr (agency placement fee) fall due.

What families ask us about the costs
How the cost of an au pair for a child with a disability can be carried depends on your situation. Possible routes are the Persönliches Budget, Verhinderungspflege and the Entlastungsbetrag.
Alongside these, the services many families already know remain in place: ambulante Kinderkrankenpflege (outpatient paediatric nursing care), Kinderintensivpflege where the need is very high, a Kinderpflegedienst, a Behindertenfahrdienst (transport service for people with disabilities) or the Offene Hilfen in your area. Kinderkrankengeld, Kindergeld bei Behinderung and a Mutter-Kind-Kur run independently of all this. An au pair adds to these routes in everyday life — it replaces none of them.
