What happens in the first twelve weeks?
Short answer
The first twelve weeks lay the foundation for a successful au pair year. During this time, the au pair, host family and children really get to know each other, routines develop, and the au pair steadily gains confidence in everyday family life. It is exactly during this important settling-in period that we support both sides especially closely: the au pairs with weekly live calls, and the host families with regular input, practical support and materials for a successful start.

What lies behind it
A good au pair year does not happen on the first day. That is why we do not leave our au pairs alone during this time. In the first twelve weeks, weekly live calls take place with our au pairs.
But you, as a host family, are also supported during this phase. You receive regular emails from us with concrete input, templates for daily and weekly plans, workbooks and coaching prompts.

Our goal is not simply to place an au pair with you and then leave you alone, but to support you during this important time - so that, step by step, an initially unfamiliar person can become a secure and trusted part of your everyday family life.
