Which au pair insurance should we take out?
Short answer
We work with the Dr.-Walter-Au-pair-Versicherung. The cost is around 44 € per month. You receive an email from us with the relevant link through which you can take out the insurance. The insurance must be in place before entry into Germany; without proof of insurance, there is no visa.

What matters with the insurance
The au pair insurance is taken out and paid for by the host family. It covers the health, accident and liability insurance required for the au pair's stay.
As soon as you have made a binding decision for an au pair, you receive the relevant link from us to take out the insurance. We then need the insurance confirmation to prepare the documents for the Botschaftstermin (the appointment at the German embassy).
It is important that the start of the insurance coincides with the au pair's planned entry date. If the entry is delayed due to visa processing, the start of the insurance can be adjusted accordingly.
