Integrativer Spielplatz für alle Kinder in Füssen gefordert
Allgäuer Zeitung, 19 October 2023
Summary
A playground where every child can play
On 19 October 2023, the Allgäuer Zeitung reported on the initiative by Melanie and Mark Matl for an inclusive playground in Füssen. The two had drawn up a concept of their own for it.
Mark Matl represents his wife on the advisory council for people with disabilities and presented the idea at the café of the Wertachtal-Werkstätten. His argument: Füssen has not a single playground where children with and without disabilities can play together. He is quoted as saying: „Ohne behindertes Kind kannst du dir nicht vorstellen, was auf dich zukommt“ — unless you have a child with a disability, you cannot imagine what lies ahead. (Translated)
The initiative succeeded: the inclusive playground at the Weißensee opened in April 2026.

In print the piece ran under the headline „Einen Spielplatz für jedes Kind“, written by Manuela Müller — the same author as the online version. The report belongs to the agency's prehistory: it dates from before the agency was founded and is about Melanie Matl's commitment to inclusion in Füssen, not about au pair placement. That path is described under ; all publications are listed in our .
